Oscar is a Senior Engineer with 11 years of experience in Local Government, State Government and consulting.He has skills in numerical modelling (TUFLOW, SBeach), remote sensing (InletTracker, CoastSat), data analysis (Python and QGIS), coastal and estuarine geomorphology, geology and sediment transport.
Oscar has demonstrated diverse project management skills at a local government level, including DCP chapter reviews, technical and strategic studies and the concept and detailed design infrastructure within the coastal zone. Oscar is an effective communicator who enjoys delivering technical information to the community, Councillors, senior managers, peers and industry experts.
Oscar has undertaken numerous flood studies and floodplain risk management studies and plans, and project managed the concept design, detailed design and construction of flood modification measures. He has significant project management expertise, specifically working with the NSW Governments Flood Program. He has a comprehensive understanding of ARR2019 and the associated hydrologic techniques and challenges. Oscar is an effective communicator and enjoys explaining complex local flooding issues to the community, Councillors, senior managers, peers and industry experts.
