Community and Stakeholder Engagement
Rhelm designs and implements community and stakeholder engagement activities that provide people with the information they need so they can make informed comment. We understand that not everyone communicates in the same way and we ensure each engagement strategy is designed to reach and provide a voice to every community member.
Communication is a key element in the success of any project or program. We provide a team of engineers, scientists and economists with years of experience taking technical information and making it readily available and digestible by the wider community. We take complex, technical information and make it simple to understand. We will help you to identify what to say, how to say it and who to say it to.
Facilitation can maximise the outcomes of a meeting or assist in bringing together diverse people to develop solutions. Rhelm facilitators support you to enable a group to work cooperatively and effectively.
“Community environmental education aims to enhance a community’s wellness through thoughtful environmental action. It fosters collaborative learning and action, taking into account the social, cultural, economic, and environmental conditions of a community” (Price, Simmons and Krasny, 2014).
Often the success of a project is directly linked to the participation of the community or stakeholders in executing the program. Examples include restricting access to beach dunes or improving water quality in waterways through reduction in litter and stormwater pollution.
Rhelm’s engagement and allied specialists work collaboratively with the community to seek to sustain and create liveable and vibrant places. Drawing on years of experience, we are passionate about helping clients to achieve an open dialogue, learning and solutions.
Our approach to engagement
To ensure best practice in community and stakeholder engagement, our approach to engagement is guided by the Core Values and Code of Ethics of the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2).
